Determine what type of work you are looking for
This may seem like the easiest part of conducting an online job search but so many people end in jobs they hate because they didn’t contemplate the type of work they were looking for.
I’ve had my share of crappy jobs and I highly suggest taking this step. Do not start a job search until you have considered the following:
What are my hours of availability (can I work a full-time job or is part-time better)?
Do I want a customer service job or a job that requires minimal customer service?
Would I mind being in a cubicle all day?
What type of environment do I want to work in?
Am I the type of person who can stay in one spot all day or is a job that keeps me moving better suited for me?
I can do several blog posts about this topic alone and perhaps I will but please take these questions into consideration.
They will help you weed out disaterous jobs as you apply.
Take action by jotting down the answers to these questions.
Until next time,
P.S. If you can think of any other questions to add to this list be sure to post them in the comments box below. Don’t forget to bookmark this page by using the buttons on the right side panel!
