Work Shouldn’t Feel Like “Work.”

-Kimmy B. (Me)

Happy New Year!
This is a new year. If you are in a job you hate consider switching to work you love. Even if you can’t do work you love full time or determine how to make money from what you love, do it. I guarantee you that you’ll feel happier and possibly make money over time. If you feel like you don’t have the time to commit consider committing some small amount of time during the week at  first and see how that works. When I started this blog, I could only blog once a week. Now I have multiple blogs and am blogging about three times a week. My schedule certainly didn’t change; I changed and so did my perception of how much time I have and what’s possible for me to get done during the week. “Work” that you love takes no time at all and is easy to commit to you. Make the commitment to yourself that you will honor yourself by spending time doing more things that you love throughout the year.

Until Next Time,
Kimmy B.

Every Door Is a Door. Walk Through It.
-Kimmy B. (Me)
So what does this mean? This is in reference to the idea of the door or window of opportunity. I’m currently searching for a holistically better job. In the process, I’m not accepting no. If some one says they’re not interested, I ask them if they know someone who is. That person who’s not interested may be the person who introduces me to the person who is. Every door is a door. Walk through it. Leave no stone unturned.

Until Next Time,
Kimmy B.

You can’t shake hands with a clinched fist. — Golda Mier

Growth is what comes to mind when I reflect on this quote. You can’t become prosperous if you don’t allow new experiences and people to enter your life either. It’s alright to be protective of yourself, especially if you’re focusing on personal growth. Don’t be too protective though because you might scare away the very opportunity you’ve been seeking!

Inspirational Tweet

The tweet of the week series features a motivational or inspirational quote that I send to my followers on twitter. I share bonus commentary here on the blog. This week’s tweet is:

“Only those who do the absurd will achieve the impossible.”
-Einstein

You may have heard me say this on the “Read & Prosper Show” videos: Don’t live in complacency. Live in BOLD. Your great idea is only crazy to those who don’t have the capacity to dream big or think big like you do. If you’re a dreamer, surround yourself around people who support your dreams. Negative people try to stifle dreams because they’re too scared to live their own dreams. Make your “absurd/impossible” possible.

Until Next Time,

Tweet of the Week

The tweet of the week series features a motivational or inspirational quote that I send to my followers on twitter. I share bonus commentary here on the blog. This week’s tweet is:

“Fear grows in darkness; if you think there’s a bogeyman around, turn on the light.”
-Dorothy Thompson

The darkness is the unknown. Many of us fear what we do not know or do not understand. This fear can be detrimental to the quality of one’s life. It causes many people to cease living their dreams. Some people want to travel but have a fear of flying or getting lost. Some people want to become financially wealthy but have a fear of money management. The best way to get over such a fear is to educate yourself. Scared of travel? Watch the travel network and visit a nice town a few hours away from where you live. Scared of money management? Read a book. One of my favorites is The Total Money Makeover. You can also watch the “Read & Prosper Show” online. You have nothing to fear but fear itself! Follow me on twitter.
